Jacob Powers - Head Coach/ Offensive Coordinator

Hi, I am Coach Powers! I have spent most of my life in the Morgantown High Football program. My father coached at MHS for almost 20 years, and I grew up going to practices, games, and film sessions. I even slept in the bleachers because I wouldn’t go home. My love for Mohigan Football only grew as it became my time to play, and I finished my high school career All TRAC, 2nd Team All-State, and 1st Team All-OVAC as an offensive guard.

I went to WVU for both my bachelor's and masters degrees, and I attend Wheeling University for my Teaching Certification. I now teach Social Studies at Morgantown High School. My love for football has brought me back to help the next generation be the best they can be on and off the field. My mission is to help my players grow as individuals and understand the importance of their role as a team member.

Go Mohigans!

Dwight Overstreet - JV Defensive Coordinator/Assistant Coach

Hi! I am Coach Overstreet! The phrases “I love football” and “Day by day. . . “ mean so much to the game of football. You’ve got to love playing and always getting better day in and day out. I’ve learned so much about the game of football growing up in Mt. Sterling, KY, then coaching at your alma mater, then working your way up! The many lessons that I’ve learned from playing and coaching the game are life long lessons that you will learn throughout. I am so excited to get to work with your child!

I’ve coached in Kentucky (Montgomery Co., Beaumont Middle in Lexington, KY, Scott County Middle in Georgetown, KY) for 5 years. I’ve also coached at Mountaineer Middle and previously worked with University Middle.

“Day by day. . .”

Chad Conley - Volunteer Coach

Hi, I am Coach Conley!

I have been involved in Football for 13+ years and when I haven’t been included in the sport on the field I’ve been a huge fan. Originally from a single “A” school, Calhoun County, I was apart of a group that was able to take our program back to the state play offs for the first time in over two decades. I was an All-State Honorable Mention Utility and All-LKC Honorable Mention Linebacker. I attended WVUH, for Radiologic Sciences and now work in Mon Health’s Radiation Oncology Department as a Medical Dosimetrist.

I enjoy teaching the game of football and what it has to offer.  My goal is to help use the game and it’s infinite lessons to shape the athletes I have the opportunity to coach. Building better humans on and off the field. I like to coach with the motto: "Be Better Than Yesterday".
